Q: Tell us about yourself. What should people know about you that they can’t gather from your bio?

A: My life’s work has given me a unique opportunity to travel extensively around the United States. I have had the opportunity to travel to and work in 49 out of the 50 states and the 5 populated territories in the United States. During these travels, I’ve been able to gain additional insight and understanding of the rural and urban communities and their cultures that comprise the United States.

Q: What superpowers will your role at DI tap into?

A: My superpower is my innate love of people, how we connect with each other, learn from each other, and just be with each other. At DI, I will tap into my superpower to foster connection, community, and supports for staff that centers their wellness and healing needs.

Q: What drew you to DI?

A: I was excited about joining Design Impact’s commitment to “walk the walk” and “talk to talk”. The commitment of the organization to live their values internally to support staff as well externally appealed to me. My work at DI is focused on internal policies, operations, and human resources and this provides an exciting opportunity to implement innovative equitable and creative organizational practices.
