BREAKFAST CLUB RECAP:
CREATIVITY AND DISRUPTION IN TIMES OF CHANGE
Our first virtual Breakfast Club went so well that we knew we had to do another one. On June 10, we welcomed writer, comic, and equity facilitator, Luna Malbroux, to spark some conversation on the topic of creativity and disruption.
Keep reading for some highlights from our conversation and a video of the event:
Luna uses comedy and playfulness as a way to address inequity. As a writer and comic, she’s often able to broach harder topics through comedy.
Luna also talked about how vulnerability informs the creative process. We practiced vulnerability in Breakfast Club by challenging each breakout group to come up with a creative response to the morning’s conversations. Groups could create a song, a poem, art, or whatever moved them…but they only had 7 minutes.
Here are some of the creative responses:
“We all trying to figure it out
It still means we will get it wrong
Look for the humor
But recognize the truth”
